Kind Regards Nigel

Hi All, Well, I`ve found time for an update. Delay due to pressures of work and wanting to get on with second planking, unfortunately the pressure of work took front of stage (can`t wait to retire ). The pics will explain what`s been going on, suffice to say it ain`t all been plain sailing as you will already probably know . Pics will show: Gun port marking Gun port cutting Second planking at various stages (one side only so far) Thanks to Gandale (Alan), as I have started lower hull 2nd planking and his close up pics have been invaluable. Well that`s it for now, will update again asap Regards delboy271155 (Derek) delboy271155 attached the following image(s): COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Then SWMBO stuck her two penny worth in "you spend every minute blah blah blah **** blah blah", so hence the update just before i ducked the missiles So, thanks for looking in and the kind comments. Regards Alan Hi Alan, Thanks for looking in and the kind comments. Just glad to see the back of the bamboo planking (even though there are a few places for it yet). I am now really enjoying the progress, but still taking the second look before I take the plunge on each stage. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Admiral Anti Spiral wrote:Lovely work on the planking and gun ports del, gun ports are a pain but you seemed to of done well with them Hi Admiral, Thanks for looking in and the kind comments. You are spot on with the the ports being a pain (especially in bamboo). My method was to use a dremel with a small round reamer bit. With that I took out the bulk of the scrap, then took a new blade (8 in total) to do the trimming up to the markings. I`m now really enjoying the second planking layer and looking forward to getting into some of the finer details. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"
