i am working on planking the second row of the hull, i make the cutaway version. i was wondering if the "brickwork fashion" should also be applied between the cutaway and the bow, since it is possible to make all planks the same lenght in the official build diary, it seems that you used the "brickwork fashion" also in that space, although i'm not sure since the picture isn't very clear. i marked it in red. can you confirm that i have to make a short plank spanning the width between two ribs? thanks in advance, it's confusing the hell out of me

hi action(what an unusual name)no I'm not tomick, but I feel I can safely answer your question,I'm on my second vic, and am at a similar stage as you on the 2nd. one. continue in brick fashion, for 2 reasons, first off,the layers will be uniform, you wont get a height difference either side of the hole. and secondly you cut the hole pieces as you go after the glue has set. good luck and keep putting up the pics. Current builds: SotS, USS Consitution, San Felipe, D51 loco, HMS Surprise, RB7, Arab Dhow, Jotika HMS Victory Completed builds: HMS Pickel, Thermopylae, Mississipi river boat, Mary Rose, Cutty Sark, San Francisco II, HMS Victory x5, Titanic Lifeboat, Panart HMS Victory Launch, Hachette Titanic, Virginia Schooner, Endeavour Longboat. http://www.model-space.com/gb/
