Just a quick update.... Trimmed back all the cocktail sticks, another tedious task out of the way.... Cool Cool .. Tomorrow will get on with the first sanding, clean up and preparing the other side for the second planking layer.....Cool Cool .. More of the same to come... BigGrin BigGrin .. Have to say I am more than pleased with results so far but can see some areas could have been done better.... Still, other side is the side I intend to put on show.... Cool Cool

Hi Alan
Looking forward to seeing it sanded. One thing I found doing my copper treenailing was I could cut it off much closer to the hull with nail clippers than sidecutters.Don't know how this would fair with cocktail sticks.
Kind Regards Nigel

Thanks Nigel, did use side cutters but found when sanding the upper hull, the cocktail sticks are easy to sand down and will take no time at all really..... Cool Cool .. Will have a go with nail clippers for the other side and see how it works out.....Cool Cool .. Watch this space and I'll let you know...BigGrin

Today happy to say I have now completed one side of the hull, all sanded down and very very smooth all over....Cool Cool .. Gave it a clean with a little white spirit with no ill effects. Have also sanded the other side of the lower hull to roughen up the sanding sealer I put on, this I did to give me a key for the second planking to adhere to and this is hopefully what I will start tomorrow evening....Cool Cool .. Am really happy with how it has turned out...well worth every hour spent on her...BigGrin BigGrin
