Stage 9 - Contains a tyre, shock oil and fittings.

Retrieve the shock parts provided with stage 4, a wheel rim, hub cap and hub cap decal.

Carefully scrape any burrs from the shock piston, then take the shock shaft, both washers and the nut. Fit a washer onto the short threaded end of the shaft, followed by the piston, another washer and the nut.

Place some tissue between the jaws of your pliers, then grip the shaft and tighten the nut to secure the piston.

Take the shock assembly rod and star shaped stopper ring. Note its correct orientation for placement onto the shock assembly rod, then add two O-rings and apply a small amount of shock oil to act as a lubricant.

Take the shock cap, fit the O-rings and star ring into the cap, pushing the assembly rod as far as it will go until its end is almost flush with the top of the cap, then remove the assembly shaft.

Put a drop of shock oil into the O-rings then slide the shock shaft into the cap, then wipe any oil from the shaft.
Again, protect the plier jaws with tissue and grip the shock shaft, so you can scew the ball end onto the shaft. Screw the ball until you can no longer see the thread upon the shaft, then set a gap of 14mm between the ball end and cap head.

Take the large O-ring, place it over the piston and into the the cap so that its sits into the groove. Temporarily screw the shock body in place but do not fully tighten at this stage.

Look closely at the ball end, once side has a smaller hole than the other. Place a pillow ball into the larger of the two holes, protect the ball end with tissue and then snap the pillow ball into the hole with pliers.

Store the remaining parts in a bag numbered 9.

Fit and glue the tyre onto the wheel rim using the method described at stage 3. Cut-out and apply a hub cap decal onto the hub cap as before.

That completes this stage.

Stage 10 - Contains the lower suspension arms, shafts and E-rings.

Use side cutters to cut away the sprue between the arms.

Fit an E-ring onto one end of both shafts.

Retreive the rear gearbox assembly. Place the left rear lower suspension arm between its mount points, then slide a shaft through the holes, and secure at the opposite end with an E-ring.
Repeat to fit the right lower suspension arm.

Take the shock pivot parts provided with stage 9. Insert a 3x20mm cap screw into a pivot ball, then insert the cap screw into the top left hole of the rear shock stay from the side shown.
Secure the cap screw with a flange nut and tighten using the allen key and wrench.
Repeat to fit a shock pivot at the opposite end of the shock stay.

Thats it for this stage.

Stage 11 - Contains a reduction hub and shaft, allen key and fittings.

Assembling the wheel hub reduction gears.

Place the 1480 bushing into the recess of the hub. Take the cup joint, spread a smal amount of grease onto the shaft, then fit the shaft into the bush from the outside of the hub.
Gently rotate the shaft to spread the grease around, then add more grease on the inside.

Identify the difference between the two sides of the 15T gear, (the front has a large flat area and the rear has a smaller flat area).
Place the 15T gear onto the shaft so that the large flat area is upper most, then secure the gear with an E-ring.

Thats completes this stage.

Page 48 of the instructions contains information about identifying the different types of screw used to construct your model.

Stage 12 - Contains hub reduction parts.

Apply a small amount of grease to the rear wheel shaft, then slide the shaft into the 1480 metal bush, carefully rotating it to spread the grease.

Insert the shaft from the outside of the hub, the secure the shaft on the inside with the 2.5x12mm pin.

Apply a small amount of grease above the pin, then take the 16T gear. Identify the pin location slots and mark their position on the opposite side of the gear, (this will aid in locating the gear onto the pin). Slide the gear onto the shaft and engage the pin into its slots, then secure the gear with an E-ring.

Apply a small amount of grease to the teeth of the gears, then rotate the shaft to coat them.

Apply some grease to the short shaft, the fit the 1260 bush onto the end of the shaft.

Take the reduction gear hub cover, fit the two halves of the hub together, then secuure the cover with six cap screws, and tighten in the sequence shown.

Put some grease into the hole and around the shaft, then fit the 1680 bush onto the shaft, pressing it into the housing.

Fit the wheel hub onto the shaft and secure thought its hole and the shaft hole with the 2.5x14mm pin. Then fit the wheel hub adapator in place to secure the pin.

Take the wheel nut, and screw it otno the shaft until it just starts to grip the wheel adaptor.

Take the rear gear box assembly. Fit the reduction gear hub between the arms of the left suspension arm, and secure with the 3x48mm screw shaft, then tighten the screw shaft.

Carefuly store the remaining dogbone drive shaft for later use and a bag marked 12.

That completes this stage

Despatch #4 contains Stages:

Stage 13 - Contains rear upper arm parts

Take the 2.5mm allen key, a 5x30mm set screw and a pair of ball ends marked 1 & 2.

Insert the allen key into the set screw and screw it into the ball end marked 1, about one third of its length. Then screw the ball end marked 2 onto the opposite end about the same distance.

The space between the ballends should be set at 6mm. Repeat to assemble a second track rod fitting.

Turn the ball ends so that the moulded line faces downwards, then snap a pillow ball into the end marked 1.

Fit a track rod onto the reduction hub as shown, securing it with a 3x20mm screw. Fit the 'dogbone' drive shaft into the drive cups then snap the unattached end of the track rod onto the flange ball located on the forward side of the shock support.

Fit the second track rod to the ball on the shock support at the other side.

Thats its for this stage.
