just finished cutting out all the cannon ports and I see there is no deck to the rear lower. This must be right as Ive gone back to issue 17 and confirmed it.So the question is.Is this right and if so is it left like that or does it get finished of in a later issue? Please come back to me on this as I really think Ive gone wrong or missed something somewhereConfused

Hi Jethro,
I assume you mean the rear lower deck cannon port has no dummy gun support as well as no deck, unlike all the others. This is correct, although a little odd, this port has a closed lid, so no dummy cannon will be fitted. The only reason I can see for cutting out this port is to position the lid correctly, although I would've thought that could have been done more easily with just measurements.

Hi Jethro,
I think we need to take the pictures as a rough approximation of what we are building, I'm not sure that it's actually the DeAg/Latina Artesania model, so there may be a number of differences.
It does say in the instructions or somewhere, that the Port we are talking about is a closed port, I had the same thought when I came across this issue and looked into it.

hi orchard
Thanks again orchard for getting back to me on this .
I'm thinking of putting a false deck in anyway out of some spare planking , Ill just need an extra cannon for this ,and should it not work out I can always cover it up with the hatch, Ive got an idea for this but am willing to take any advice you or anyone else might have
p.s. we do seem to be the poor cousin on this when you look at some of the other forums they seem so much more authentic

Hi Jethro. If you read on the large poster that came with issue 1, there is some backgfound info on who built the model that you see on the cover. As Court says we are probably building a very accurate copy of that model. If you are not sure how the model is gonna end up a good thing to do I find is to take it slowly and watch how the build diaries of the more experienced builders develop, as they will definitely give you loads of ideas for ways of enhancing your model. Another good thing is to keep checking the build logs on the Italian forum as they are already up to issue 75 I think. Otherwise good luck with your build.

The link for the Italian build log is
