Ahoy Shipmates Brass lacemakers pins are the right size and suitability - and you get 100 for 2.99 on ebay.
Though plenty of good tips already suggested matey's, well done=o)

I've been buying pins from local model shops. They are not brass but black and slightly longer. When you snip them it looks like they are black rivets. I'm doing this coz the pins I'm getting are not good quality and dont fit in the pin pusher tool. The pin heads are usually not cut correctly, mis-shaped or just plain too big. For the 100 pins or so in the bag I'm only getting use of 20 or so. Anyone else got that problem?

i have a small bag of brass pins that deag mysteriously sent me instead of endeavour replacement parts.
if you like i can chuck those in the post to ya? prolly 30-50 pins in the bag.
