Calling all professionals. Im not far away from second planking on the lower half of the hull. I'm still undecided how to finish the hull ie paint or natural. I would like to leave it natural, however this is my first atempt of a model of this type and the magazine and the official build show taperring the planks, i dont feel this would look good left with a natural finish. Ive noticed in the build diaries that some of you are using drop planks which gives a more authentic look. My questions are 1) are these difficult 2) is there an easy way of marking these out 3) if anyone could supply a simple step by step i would be very grateful Cheers Stu Cheers Stu

Hi Stu, I have to agree with others that have commented.... This article for me was very worthwhile studying..... It was this article that gave me the courage to plank my hull the way I did..... .. Is it easy.... not to start with but you will soon get the hang of it and treat the tricky bits as a challenge.... .. Good luck with it.... Regards Alan
