Hi Stu, Your ship looks amazing, very neatly finished and tidy. I must admit I am a bit freaked out with the two layering for the planking. And the cutting of the portholes look like a difficult job. What issue are you on? I am only on issue 9 so this a major inspiration for me. Regards Chantel Current Build HMS Sovereign of the Seas (First time build)

Regards Chantel Hi Chantel Thanks for looking in and i appreciate your comments, im hovering around issues 37-38-39 at the moment. This is my first attempt at a model like this and this forum is the best tool you could have. everyone is so helpful and you only have to ask and there is an answer immediately. There is some great info in the build diaries. I found the secret with the port holes is dont try to do too much in one go, take your time. The sapele (second planking) is a nightmare when cutting around the portholes, its extremely brittle. Good luck with your build and post some pictures when you get time so we can all see your progress. cheers Stu Cheers Stu

WTG, Stu That black box wood looks real good. I am now seriously considering going down that line, rather than end up with a flat black painted section. Keep up the good work and keep the pics coming. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Very impressive work Stu, judging by your work I don't think you are going to have to many issues in planking the lower hull.... Regards Alan
