As the grateful owner of the first of these crest stampers I must wholehearted reccommend it. When I cheekily asked the Captain to consider simply making a cast of his original stamper available I would have been happy with a lump of chewing-gum on a coat hanger. I'm sure many of us can appreciate fine, quality hand tools and what dropped through my letterbox today is a thing of beauty. Annoyingly though, I now find it shows up all my other hand tools . More importantly, it works like a frickin' treat . I'm amazed at the crisp detail that has been sculpted into this stamp. I've just applied a crest to the carronade, hit the spot first time using the detailed instructions and it looks better than I could have ever hoped. Don't hesitate people, this really sets that ironware off and, in my opinion is one of the best details you can add. I just wish I had the Capt's eye and skill to produce something approaching this quality. Thanks once again Capt, you're a gentleman.

Phew. Looks like I'm going to be modestly busy this weekend. Thanks for all the interest - I have sent out a PM to (hopefully) everyone that has indicated that they want a crest stamp. I've also ordered in some extra walnut dowling and some kneadatite. @ Streaky. Glad you found it easy to use - the red wine lubricant is a novel touch - I like it. Since we are on a new page, I'll reiterate Jamie's information that the return envelope should have a 1st class, large-letter stamp on it (even though it doesn't need a large envelope). Production is underway folks. A Cup of tea first though, got to capture that authentic English work ethic. Hopefully, everyone who has responded so far will have had a PM from me. @ Allan: I have sent you a PM, but to those who wish to pay by Pay Pal I am sorry, but I don't have an account - It's 'retro' all the way with postal orders and cheques only.
