I've done some work this past weekend.BigGrin

The dummy gun supports were cut and glued as well as the supports beams for the second deck!LOL

Decided to follow others and used 5 mm dowel stick to support the support beams. The support beams are much stronger with the dowel sticks in place!

I'm considering to follow Alan (Gandale) with the prow. Alan cladded the prow with walnut and it looks marvelous!Drool
Althought mine is already glued I want to steam it loose and then cut the prow out of 1/8" (3.15 mm) solid wallnut. I know it is thinner than the 4 mm plywood but don't think it will make such a difference.

Enjoy the buildingBigGrin

Another update for the day.

Painted the launch with a wood primer. Tested the Humbrol RC417, ivory white, but it seems green?Confused

The stick on the right is painted white.

Hi Kobus
another colour to try is Barley White which has a brown off white tinge that sometimes looks better than the green tinge
