Davids PlaneIt is a small plane for modelling

Usually in this country similar products appear to be listed as minature planes etc

Search Maplins for a set of three minature planes which I might buy one day! or look at what Cornwall Models have under planes in their tool section.

Another good source of miniature tools is doll's house specialists. I have 3 daughters (all grown up now) but spent many hours building a dolls house and furniture. Bought some lovely little tools - though couldn't tell you where from now.

Hi All

The three planes from Maplins was just a suggestion.

I find that you usually get what you pay for! I recently went on the web and found a similar hobby knife kit with a small plane. Unfortunately, although OK for the price, the plane was the least satisfactory item in the kit. I haven't really had much need for a plane as yet, so I'm still contemplating a look at the three planes if I get a chance to go to my Maplins which is the far side of Leeds from where I live.

I would be greatful to know whether others have bought them and what they think

I got a great little plane from cornwall-modelboats, spare razor blade reasonable price.use it a lot on masts and spars, needs to get used to though,a bit of a knack in setting the blade, fiddely and a good diamond sharpening stone so you don't have to keep buying blades.
Current builds: SotS, USS Consitution, San Felipe, D51 loco, HMS Surprise, RB7, Arab Dhow, Jotika HMS Victory
Completed builds: HMS Pickel, Thermopylae, Mississipi river boat, Mary Rose, Cutty Sark, San Francisco II, HMS Victory x5, Titanic Lifeboat, Panart HMS Victory Launch, Hachette Titanic, Virginia Schooner, Endeavour Longboat.
