this pot is one of those squeezable jam pots. for a little amount pull the brush out of the top and the extra glue is scraped off back in to the pot, for a loaded brush just un screw the top

Damn!!!!!!!!!!why didn't I think of that...got glue everywhere the other day trying to stick a 2mmx3mm pice of veneer back on a bit of furniture.
