Your subject title differs from your post, which should it be?

Hi Jonny, i had exactly the same problem when i was building the McLaren. I tried a few different glues but they either didn't bond very well or left vapour marks on nearby surfaces. I asked the same question you just have & i was told to buy Wilkinsons hard plastic glue. It's the green tube with Wilko written on it. It only costs about £2 & it works an absolute treat. You don't have to put alot on & it bonds in about 20 seconds & leaves no vapour marks. I used this glue for the entire build & i had no problems. Hope this helps. Stu.

Why should it matter Mr T? I wanted to cover two things in one! Is that a criminal offence ?

I think what Mr T is referring to is the title of thread "How can I prevent blooming with ABS..... Too little no stick. Too much it blooms all over the shop" & your first post "No LED light set ups?" As a word to the wise it may also be beneficial to your time on the forum to be a little less aggressive, especially to those with the power do something about it. No criminal offence but a bit like having a heading "how do I change the tyre on my car?" then your post saying "No sugar in my Tea!! Tom was asking a very simple question as to some if not everyone would be confused by.. Try keeping your questions relevant to the Subject heading and then we may be able to help you quicker... As to covering 2 things in one... "No LED light set ups" refers to what? Where you trying to ask a question from another post by someone else? Spencer

No & No Frustrated! This is my first build at this level. I've re ordered back issues because deagnostini didn't explain steps possible gliches. When I've spent best part of 700 quid. Then I'd like some kind of explanation! Am I to assume that being a new modeller I automatically know about blooming? Why not say this in issue 1? So I'm not being aggressive I'm hacked off ! As for LEDs set up ill figure it out myself....will I buy one again? Not ever, overpriced with a customer support team based somewhere in South Africa! Hence my frustration not aggressiveness !!

Hi Jonny Whilst i can understand your frustration and some times the trials of C/S can at times be equally so. But a little more calm and sensible questions will get you far more help than the post's that you have so far made. Your 1st post was confusing and asked two different things maybe it would have been better to ask separate questions instead of attacking the people who are trying to help you. At times members of the forum have had problems like you have experienced and by approaching it in a calm intelligent way these problems are quickly resolved by advice and directing you to a resolution of your problem. Yes i agree part works can be a lot of money but its a way for a lot of modellers to spread the cost of a build over time and is therefore more affordable to them , so please don't kick the donkey. I will look forward to your future posts once things are resolved regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi Jonny, yeah i didn't have a clue about blooming either.I built the entire front wing thinking i'd done a good job & then the next day under daylight it looked terrible, so i had to reorder it. Try the glue i suggested & you should be okay. The people on here are a nice bunch of guys who can really help you with your build. It's just a shame that things have started with a little friction.I've finished the McLaren model along with alot of others guys on here so if you need any help in the future, just ask.Stuart.
