Hi Dominic,

Thank you for your kind comments?

I know what you mean about cost. I have kept a spread sheet of all my out lay, bearing in mind I had to purchase a lot of tools and paint upfront. Scarey!!Blink

Hi All,

Been a busy weekend, and managed to do a fair bit.

The gunwales are completed, just need a few more pins to finish it off.

Lined the cannon ports on one side, a slow and tedious job.

Progress below:

Hi,

Got fed up with lining the cannon ports so did a little job from a further in the build that did not look like it would interfere with the building up to it in the magazine sequence.

I opted to build the bow bulkhead, but did not glue it to the ship. Using masking tape on the already fitted bow platform to prevent any glue sticking to it.

I also decided to build a doorway in to have a door slightly open to animate it more. Once the bamboo was glued in place, I could remove and sand easier. I glued strips of bamboo in the back to give it more strength.

Result below in the pic:

Hi All,

A little further progress on the bow bulkhead. It dry fitted okay to the ship, so felt everything was okay to remove and paint black.

Pic below not very sharp.
