Hi BigGrin

I'm having trouble getting the type 'A' screw to go all the way in to hold the front crank steering guide in place. I manage to get it about half way in but this is not enough as the steering goes through the hole which the screw is blocking. I've tried multiple times with different screws and tried widening the hole a little to no avail.

Would it be ok to glue this in place with some ABS glue?

Thanks!
Warthog

Hi Judd

If it's the tappered screw that goes into the round gear then you will find it does not go all the way in and sticks out by about 1mm.. Look at Tomicks official build and you will see.. If I have got the wrong end of the stick then drop a picture of your problem so i can see...

Apologies, I must not have made it clear enough. Here is the picture from the build to explain which part I mean Smile

EDIT: Looks like the picture isn't working properly (It seems to work ok if you right click it and click open in new tab but I'll try to explain incase people don't like opening), what I mean is this part - "Fit the front steering crank guide over the moulding at the front of the underbody. Insert a type 'A' screw and gently tighten to lock the block into position."

It should be easy enough to glue, I'm just a bit concerned about why it is supposed to be screwed in the first place so thought I'd ask on here BigGrin

Thanks,
Judd

I know the part your talking about and unable to open your picture..
It might be that the hole is not deep enough but to glue it with a little ABS will be no problem at all as it's not a moving part Judd.

Thank you very much for your quick response, I appreciate it.

Now to crack on with the rest of the build! BigGrin

Thanks again,
Judd
