hi I seen in you post about your etch ,to get round corners have you tried using a pencil rubber the square type by laying the etch piece on it and pressing down on it with around bar, drill ect.

I have to say I have not thank you for the tip. ThumpUp

BigGrin Another tip to getting a round dish type type effect such as for hull machine gun ports on a Panther tank for instance is to use a large marble on a soft surface like a mouse mat or soft rubber mat. Rolling the marble over the etch makes the edges of the etch curve naturaly and gives a smooth finish to the etch

Main gun deck vents
Total build time 188 hours

Compleated the first set of vents today. not much more to add other than i used the kit supplied etch ladder on the side of one of the vents as none of the upgrade sets replace it.

Sorry pictures have been lost

Hi Jase,
Just wondering how the bizzy is coming on. I've been reading through as I have the 1:200 Missouri and Iowa to do at some point.
Chris
On the bench

I was walking through this great topic because I'm building the Hachette version of the Bismarck.
It was really worth it.
And I hope you will continue this great build at a time.
