As a tribute to the movie, Amalgam have introduced a 1:8 scale replica of the Ferrari 312T2 driven by Niki Lauda at the Japanese GP, and the McLaren M23D in authentic race livery as driven by James Hunt, each in a limited edition of just 199 pieces.

A small batch of just 3 models will be available at the end of September, followed by another 5 models each month.

Went to see Rush yesterday, fantastic film some really good cinematography. Although the film focuses the rivalry and relationship of Hunt and Lauda there is a really good focus on the dangers of the sport at the time and how the wives coped with it all. some of the close up race scenes are fabulous. The mid 70's soundtrack was pretty cool too, definitely one for the bluray collection

Definitely worth seeing and you don't need to be an F1 fan my wife enjoyed it too. BigGrin

Hi all, I saw the movie Rush a couple of days ago & it really is excellent. It should be in for another week or 2 so if you haven't seen it yet on the big screen it's definitly worth alook.I would say it's the best racing movie for 20 years, maybe longer. After watching it, it made me realise how different racing drivers are to you & me. After Niki Lauda's huge crash, that nearly kills him, he's back in the car a couple of races later fighting for the championship....amazing.Stu
