I've started on the next job, which is lining the Cannon Ports. First I Primed and Spayed the Strip Wood Dark Maroon. I have decided to frame the Ports with a Bevelled Frame rather than a Butt Jointed Frame, as this will look much neater, I hope. So I set up a little production line for the 256 pieces required, cutting 12 and 13mm strips then adding a 45 degree bevel on each edge. However I have found that each piece is having to be adjusted individually to enure a tight fit as each port varies by a fraction of a millimetre. Do you sometimes wish you'd taken the easy road.

Now that is a job and a half Andy Kudos to you for taking it on A possibly easier way might be to make the frames up first in a jig and then open the ports where necessary to match, the advantage this way is every port would be exactly the same. Kind Regards Nigel

Beautifully done Andy, think it is going to take you some time if you have to adjust each lining to fit.... .. Am very sure it will be worth all your efforts.... Regards Alan
