Good afternoon everyone. I am about to start building HMS Victory and I seem to remember looking on the site awhile ago and seeing a diagram and dimensions for a jig to stand the partly built hull on at an angle to make some of the construction easier. Please could some kind person refer me to where I might find this again. Many thanks. Richard

That's the one. Many thanks Gil. Its so simple but looks just the thing to make life much easier. Looking forward to starting the Victory. Just finishing the 76 scale Cutty Sark by Revell which I managed to still get the kit for. But I replaced a lot of the plastic fitting and rigging with wood. Looks a lots better that way and good practise for the Victory. Thank you again.

If you like simple you will like this also As you progress with your build you will accumulate a large number of spools containing thread of various sizes and colours I found it difficult to keep them tidy and remember which was which so i devised a simple rack to store them on. I just pull off as much as i need for the job in hand and leave the rest on the spool all nice and tidy. Hope you enjoy your build. I like the thread holder Gil, on my last Rigging, I had at least 10 different threads with most types in multiples and the one I wanted was always the last one in the box, not to mention tangles and knots as the thread came off the spools with my rummaging. Plus I could never remember which one I was running out of or wether I needed top start a new reel.  Brilliant yet simple idea
