I've started on the next job, which is lining the Cannon Ports.

First I Primed and Spayed the Strip Wood Dark Maroon.
I have decided to frame the Ports with a Bevelled Frame rather than a Butt Jointed Frame, as this will look much neater, I hope.
So I set up a little production line for the 256 pieces required, cutting 12 and 13mm strips then adding a 45 degree bevel on each edge. However I have found that each piece is having to be adjusted individually to enure a tight fit as each port varies by a fraction of a millimetre.
Do you sometimes wish you'd taken the easy road.Crying LOL

Now that is a job and a half AndyBlink Kudos to you for taking it onCool A possibly easier way might be to make the frames up first in a jig and then open the ports where necessary to match, the advantage this way is every port would be exactly the same.
Kind Regards Nigel
