Hi Alan, Stunning work as usual. checked my build and the deck has the same issue as yours. was contemplating squeezing the sides in to fit the deck, but your approach looks the safer and better option. With regards to the kitchen thingy, if asked to do anything in this part of the house, do it wrong!! you end up having to do it all the time . Regards Claret Also working on: SOTS. Moebius 1/32 Flying Sub with PE & lights.
Waiting in the wings: Polarlights Spindrift from Land of the Giants.
finished: 007 Iconic DB5.

Hi Alan, Another good spot and fix WTG. I see someone mentioned planking. Will you take it easy on the cocktail sticks as I see some the other day at 35p for 150. That`s how things go in the supply and demand world. You`ll need a second mortgage to buy em at that price. Keep up the good work Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Regards Claret Thank you very much Claret, fix is fairly easy to complete and yes, it is a safer approach rather than squeezing together... .. Having to do a similar fix for the quarterdeck but not as pronounced.... Regards Alan

No problem with my supply of cocktail sticks having bought about 10K, enough to cover most of my builds so not surprised there is a shortage in supply.... May put them back on the market for 2p each.... Regards Alan

Fitted the forecastle and quarterdecks, sanded down the edge of the forecastle and painted edges black. Having to carry out the same fix on the quarterdeck but at least each side is less that 1mm short. Deck has been glued down so just need to sand the edges back and paint, a job for tomorrow... .. Likely to make a start on planking the bulkheads tomorrow and then after that will have to look at getting a finish to the hull as very soon it will be impractical to turn the ship upside down... Happy building all.. Regards Alan Gandale attached the following image(s):

At long last I finally finished issue 46 and about to start 47. Planked the facings of the quarterdeck and forecastle, a straight forward process but a little fiddly when working near the bullworks... Used the bamboo and sanded off the rounded edge of each plank before fitting, this gave a neater fit between the planks.. .. Strips are a little more than 15mm above the two decks and am leaving it like that until I get the parts for the deck bullworks, want to ensure I get the height right all the way round.... .. Here are some pics of how she is now and tomorrow am going to make a start on applying some protection for the hull... .. Happy building all.. Regards Alan Gandale attached the following image(s):
