Well a few more Photo's this is as far as i can go until my next pack arrives (apart from the reinforcing plates) really pleased with the fuselage skins so far, got some dented panels on them, cant wait till its all painted up Will be needing some advice soon with regards to weathering! something ive never done before. Built - MP4/23, Zero, Deagostini Falcon, Model Airways 1903 Wright Flyer, Senna Mp4/4. Working - Mclaren M23 1/8th scale to complement the Deagostini MP4/23 & Mp4/4 on the bench, Model Airways Sopwith Camel.

another small update right then, i need some help from all the experts out there! ive been test painting some of the skin panels im not using ive used "mr Metal primer" and then a Tamiya mix to produce the greyish top coat. problem im coming across is all the rivet detail is disappearing. the coats of primer and paint are as thin as i can possibly get them and the paint itself is very thin, but still losing the detail! any ideas? Built - MP4/23, Zero, Deagostini Falcon, Model Airways 1903 Wright Flyer, Senna Mp4/4. Working - Mclaren M23 1/8th scale to complement the Deagostini MP4/23 & Mp4/4 on the bench, Model Airways Sopwith Camel.

Hi Dan I see your problem the rivets seem to be lightly etched or printed on to the skins and also of the flush type so any paint will cover them . A ponce wheel will raise the rivets but that will make them non flush so not really an option, another thing is maybe small blobs of PVA or super glue to give a small raised impression on the skins. Will ponder this a little more regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .
