Hi All,

I am thinkingof having 2 figures sculpted by an internationally known figure artist. I have been in contact with John Rosengrant, who put me into contact with this other gentleman, who is equally as well known. John is booked a year out, so declined.

I have 2 possible poses in mind;

1) Pilot climbing onto the wing, with a ground crew waiting on the opposite side.

2) Pilot either seated in cockpit, or climbing into the cockpit, with GC assisting.

Depending on the complexity of the sculpts, these would run from $1400-$2000 per figure. It would be my intent to make these commercially available. To make the cost "reasonable", I'd need to sell around 100 of these at about 50-55 bucks apiece.

How many of you-all would be interested in these?

Those are incredibly crude, when compared to the work of the individual I contacted does. He was unable to fit me into his schedule, and referred me to another internationally known sculptor. However, the cost is a bit staggering. ($3000 a figure) So, I kind of dropped the idea. There wasn't enough indication of interest to take that much of a plunge.

@Kev, Im thinking that might be the cost of the mold sculpt to be used as a master for casting multiple figures. Possibly he was thinking of making 2 different masters, a good investment if there is enough interest in the cast figures which could be around £30 or so each?
