Hey Guys, after applying the wheel bearing to my rims and applying them to my RB7, i have discovered that the wheel has movement, on the axle and the bearing in the rim, they dont seem to fit properly.

I have the same issue mate. Really loose and scuffs the inside when spun.... Building: RB7 Nitro / Senna MP4/4 Finished: McLaren MP4/23 Brad.

what about using a washer where the outer ring of the washer is a less diameter of the outer ring of the bearing.
Also, what about if we roughed up the inside of the wheel mould and roughed up the outer bearing.

Also, what about if we roughed up the inside of the wheel mould and roughed up the outer bearing. yeah i tried the washer thing, firstly just a simple 6mm washer, but it just stopped the movement of the bearing, then i attached an 8mm washer to the 6mm washer so only the 8mm washer made contact to the outer ring of the bearing, but the axle still made contact with the 6mm washer to keep the weight central, but it pushed the rim off the knuckle arm by 2-3 mm, and it looked dodgy, but it did stop the movement, and roughening up the rim and bearing isn't going to fix the problem

different brand bearings we could try?? my brother has bad loads of spares at his house, might take the wheel there and try a few.

I reckon that the main problem is that the wheel nut can't tighten the wheel enough because the nylock part is too hard. I'm gonna try the m6 flanged nuts that Goose has used in the official build on the German forum.

Took my gear to my brother house who has been into r/c cars for the best part of 20 years pretty seriously.
He had a look at the movement in the wheel and said that it was pretty normal. Recons just about every plastic wheel is like that. I do not think the wheels i have are as bad as the set i saw in the video i watched on here. See what happens when it all complete i guess, i am sure someone will come up with a solution anyway!

What the?! That is terrible, I assumed that the bearing would be a tight fit which is why they give you a bearing insertion tool.... This is a critical part of the car and I really hope Deagostini come up with a fix for this. Not happy

Haven't attempted the wheels yet. I hope I don't have an issue. It just seems random for this to happen.

I've known some car racers use a strip of Rizla cigarette paper, with its sticky edge wrapped around the bearing, to make it fit more snugly.
On no account should the bearings be glued in place.

Just received issue 24 and the bearing fit nice and snug in one of the front rims but the other was extremely loose and would fall out very easily.
If i order another rim will they make sure that I receive one that the bearings will fit into correctly? Also will they send another tyre to go with it? as I've already glued mine to the rim as per the instructions.

Right well, i have to eat humble pie for suggesting a flanged nut with a serrated inside surface, 'cuz the flange makes the nut too big and if u put any tension on it, it stops the wheel from turning  I have to say though, that the front wheel turns for days on those bearings. I'm used to 1/10 scale r/c cars which are 4wd, so the front diff would stop the front end rolling so well, Like a couple of other fellas said, i don't think the movement of the bearings id to much to worry about

Just an update,
I received a replacement Rim and bearings but the problem is still there... The bearings are loose as anything and just fall out. When I put the wheel onto the rim with the loose bearings it has massive play on the shaft and wobbles around like anything, I'm sure this won't be good when driving the car at higher speeds.
Obviously this looks like a manufacturing defect in the rim, I just want to know if any solution is going to be made?

Hi Guys, Now I don`t know if this will help  ,but in the past I have used the following item which will fill a faulty thread. It is micro thin, petrol, oil and grease resistent. I know it as PTFE tape, it is self adhering so with one or two wraps it may resolve the loose bearing issue. PTFE tape is also used by Plumbers to seal threaded water pipes. It is readily available at most hardware stores like Bunnings for a couple of dollars. Chasecar

 Ok i been having a few issues with the front wheels... As the bearings don't sit snugly. I called CS and they told me that, they are going release a fix for this problem later on in the year if I plan to race the car... Like seriously??? Why not just send out a replacement wheel? The one left side is fine....

I reckon it will be better that they release revised wheels or other parts as a fix for this problem. Even if we do have to wait a bit for the fix
