Hi, I have noticed on cornwall models that they now do the resistor head for the bender. If you happen to have a lecy plank bender would the head fit a normal soldering if(I have 2 Sizes soldering iron) . As its only £10 for the head it would be cheaper for me. Thanks..chris....plank bender head....On the bench 1/350 Revell Tirpitz Platinum Edition (Pontos PE and Wooden deck) plus extra Eduard PE set and extra MK1 door sets.

Didn't want to start a new thread on this but can anyone suggest a place I can get a electric plank bender? Cornwall boats are out of stock and there are none on ebay....that's about as far as my shop wisdom goes...any help appreciated thanks!

I have a couple of old irons which still work so i will doctor one of those. As for the bending block which comes with the full kit, Simples, Scrap of wood about 4" (100mm) long, drill a 1" hole at one end and then then cut in half through the hole! then shape the other end to a nice long curve, Take a look at the picture (Lecky Plank Bender) you'll get the idea. Hope this helps!
