Help! Does anyone have a spare windows acetate sheet that came with issue 56, as you can see in build diary I cut mine up into 3 strips and the cat has gone and taken the middle window strip, cats have a lot to answer to in this forum I found it but it is creased and slightly chewed and now no good to use.I tried heating it in hot water to reshape it but no good, it is too badly damaged. Perhaps someone who used the MWG enhancement has one lying around - I am prepared to buy this obviuosly. Thanks Steve

Thanks Steve Steve Sorry to hear that but interested to hear that other cats love the taste of plastic - thought it was just my mad cat. Sure the guys and gals will help if possible but should there be no spares check out the back issues on the shop site. Cheaper than eBay and free postage. Kind regards Tony Happy Modelling

I just thought id ask here 1st as it may be quicker than a back order as im right in the middle of doing the gallery now, the cat dosent normally go for plastic, looks like she only chewed it a couple of times but its still too bad to use. stevie_o attached the following image(s):

Hi Stevie-O In order to glaze my own (smaller) stern gallery windows I used the clear acetate that came on the front of the packs containing my Earth-Moon-Sun brass "Orrery" pieces. Any item that comes in one of those packs with a clear moulded front and clear or cardboard back will provide tons of the stuff. You could either add the frames on with a very fine permanent marker (tends to fade over time though) or else apply thin strips of black insulation tape or even make new frames from brass rod as I did! Either way, there's no need to spend a lot on acetate, there's plenty out there for free! Hope this helps Robin First wooden ship: The Grimsby 12 Gun 'Frigate' by Constructo Second: Bounty DelPrado Part Works Third: HMS Victory DelPrado Part Works 1/100 scale Diorama of the Battle of the Brandywine from the American Revolutionary War Diorama of the Battle of New Falkland (unfinished sci-fi), Great War Centenary Diorama of the Messines Ridge Assault Index for the Victory diary is on page 1

Hi Steve, sorry to hear your moggies chewing habits.... I bought the gallery enhancement kit from Mike and thought I would send you the acetate I don't need then I realised a problem. I am just about to receive my next Vic pack but it only takes me up to issue 50 and your parts are in issue 56... . Would take another 2 months anyways before I have what you are looking for but would be happy to send it if you want to wait... Regards Alan

Thanks for the kind offer Alan, but seeing as there dosent seem to be anyone who has this part now then I think I will be going with the clear acetate and re-doing the lower windows also. I'm right in the middle of this gallery now so 2 months will seem like an eternity for me , I know you are supposed to be patient as a model maker but I'm not at all, I cant wait for anything. Thanks again Steve
