Not brilliant but I`m OK with it, not finished yet quite a bit left to do, the position of the feet is a little crazy, the arm in the air rests on the crown so leaving it uncarved at the mo,

Beautiful!

Best regards,

PS: A friend said to me: It is very easy to carve a figure. You just take a piece of wood and remove everything that doesn't look right.

Thank you all for your comments, much appreciated.
As for the tools I use Trev they are very basic, below is a pic, most of the finishing work is done with a stanley blade used like a scraper gently scraping material away, I am getting more confident with the dremel but extreme care is needed, I have lots of needle files (diamond is best) the edges on some of the files has been ground off smooth enabling me to concentrate on the area I'm filing without damaging bits at the side, as for photo`s of the piece being carved I'm sorry I dont have any, all the work is done holding the piece in my left hand whilst carving with the right

Cheers lads for all your kind comments, much appreciated.
Started on the shield, bit tricky, thinks its impossible to do the carvings on this, (for me anyway) so will probably leave it blank
