Hi,
The aft port on the lower level, should sit alongside the frame, to the right of it.
However on the build this is a closed port, so as long as this is not an indication of a deeper problem it should not matter that the frame is in the middle.

Hello,

I am french and new on this forum.

In France we just received issue N° 35 of the Sovereign of the Seas and I have a querry regarding the ports.
In this issue, step 26 ask to drill a hole in the center of the ports.
I wonder what is the use of this hole, do we have to drill the reinforcement as well?

Thank You in advance.

Best Regards.

Hi Jean-Paul and welcome to the forum where advice and assistance from members is readily available... The hole you are to drill in the centre of gun ports is to enable you to fit the dummy gun barrels.... These ports do not carry full gun kits, only the barrels....

Hope this helps.

Regards

Hi Jean-paul and welcome to the forum.

You should follow the instructions carefully. Normally the hole in the hull allows you to cut out the gun port. the hole in the support is for you to fit the dummy canons later in the build. Doing this now gives you a centre hole so your cannons will all be dead centre to the gun port.

Dont do this unless that is what the instructions say to

Thanks to Alan and Jase for their help.

I suspected that, but I was not sure...

Best Regards.
