hi all looking at starting my build soon as i now have 10 issued and want to start on the launch. question is what glue are you all using?
i have heard talk on other forums of alipatic glue and a brand called titebond 2.
just want to order some and not sure what to go for.
anyone give me some hints? pros and cons of alipatic and normal white wood glue as supplied with issue 1
any help would be appreciated cheers

Alipatic glue is stronger, more waterproof and more sandable than PVA. Probably more expensive as well, tho I stand to be corrected. Both will work well for the Victory, unless you're going to convert her to a working model in which case Aliphatic glue would be better. (Tongue firmly is side of cheek for the last comment !)

As Mark posted above. PVA glue dries to a semi-flexible bond but doesn't respond well to sanding as a result. Aliphatic glue has a slightly faster tack time and dries to a firm, solid bond and is much easier to sand. Schnellboots on back burner
Tools.
