Hi Jase,LOL

Boots do lots of items for things that itch, (so I`ve been told).LOL

The only thing to cure this itch will be my first delivery.

Then, I want to wait for second delivery so I can build the start of the airframe in one go, that`s so I can get it set in a jig and make sure that all is square before I progress with rest of the build.

I`m really looking forward to this as a change from ship building.

Only issue still to resolve is the display aspect of the build and then the really sticky bit, SWMBO.

Heck, she told me to go for it. LOL LOL

Let`s see what she comes up with, eh.

Hi Alan,BigGrin

Understand that aircraft are not everybody`s choice, but I see this as a different type of challenge.

I will also be sourcing a copy of Tuck`s book to display by the side of the Spitfire (which I will paint in Tuck`s colours).

Hope I can do it the justice I think it deserves.

Looking forward to your build diary Derek, I am also a new builder, this will be my 2nd part works, 1st was the Eaglemoss Aston Martin DB5, very easy build compared to this, so entering into with a lot of intrepidation.

Sure with the support of this forum I will be fine :)

Hi Colin,BigGrin

I`m sure we will both be fine with this build.

There is enough expertise in this forum to get round anything, I`m sure.

See you are from Ilford, is that Ilford Essex?

If so that`s my early years stamping ground and a few years after that
