Thanks for all the comments Well I thought Id be finished on the gallery by now but no - I have found adding the trim the most difficult task so far and have had a few botched attempts with the bending of the wood for the outer trim. I think I was drying it too quickly and the wood looked a bit splintery even after sanding and painting, it just didnt look right. In the end I used plastic and it curved very easily and looks very nice once painted. So, now all windows and trim are done, just the decorations to paint and add and a few tidy up jobs and the stern gallery is complete. More pics soon. stevie_o attached the following image(s):

Nice work Steve At least your rear gallery motif is a bit larger than the one I had to do Good luck with the painting, I'm sure it will turn out well. Regards Alan England expects that every man will do his duty.

I also managed to add a trim around the inside edge of the stern gallery using a wire twist, its just to give the effect of the carving on the real thing - looks ok though. I have done a wash on the pillars and the decorations as it looked odd with the motif done and the rest with no depth. Here it is up to now then, the top side decorations are missing as I dont yet have them - they are coming a bit later . stevie_o attached the following image(s):
