Hi there i started building my Victory the other week and i found the glue supplied "not very strong" any odeas about alternatives ? Need something what drys quick and is very strong. Cheers guys

What: Aliphatic resin

Why: Fast tack, strong bond between wooden parts, sand-able.

Hope that helps.

Edit: The bond is quite fearsome when cured, so do dry-fit your parts first (and pay very close attention to the build instructions - some parts (such as the hull formers on the main ship) should not be glued to the keel until later.

Also, check that your build parts are unwarped before doing any gluing.

I use Evostik white PVA. Dries solid and parts can be adjusted for about 10-20 mins after glueing.

hi i use evostik too but if you realise you have made a mistake after it has dried just run the hot tap and place the glued area under the tap and wiggle it gently and it will come free..i did this after 5 weeks of it being glued and had no problem
