Hi everyone.........I don't know if anyone else has suffered the same "shortfall" but I am short of Basswood planking that came with Issue 44 (43) ? I have completed half of the third deck using 13 planks and with the other half to do, I only have 5 planks left !!! And there was no waste from cutting short lengths. If Mr T. can help that would be nice or alternatively if one of you has my share of Basswood planks that would be good too. Other than that if any of you "seasoned veterans" can point me to a supplier, I wil purchase some more.

BigGrin Hi Mike
Cornwall Model Boats usaly have a good selection of wood as for your shortfall I am unable to comment as I am not doing this build, although there may be more of the planks you need in a future issue but others who are doing this build will have more information than myself.

Hi....that would be very helpful. I've got loads of Bamboo but that won't match.

If you could send me 16 strips that would be great. If you let me have your e-mail address I will send you my address details and you can let me know what the damage is to cover your costs etc....

Many thanks,

Mike S.

Andy......I did try Cornwall boats but they didn't have strips of Basswood in that gauge. Thanks for the reference anyway.

Regards,

Mike

Hi Mike,
No problem, PM me your address and I'll send you them, I don't want anything for them or postage etc.

If you don't know how to send a personal message, it's the little black 'PM' button at the bottom left of this post. That'll send a private post just to me. You need to be logged in to see it.
