More done on the bodywork.
All the black parts are painted with Halfords satin black - it gives a really nice smooth finish.
Fitting the door window frames was a bit of a nightmare as they had warped in the box and needed holding down with mini clamps while the glue dried.
I decided not to make the lighting work, as per the supplied bits, as further reading of the instructions showed that to put the batteries in, you need to remove the body entirely from the chassis, and as I've already test-fitted the body which took an age and a lot of careful tweaking, I know it's a definite No-no!
The alternative was to have the battery box outside the car, with trailing wires. I decided, 'what's the point', as the lights will hardly ever (IF ever) get turned on.
The rear lights were enjoyable and challenging, as the chrome trim had to be applied to each component using BMF before assembly.
Maybe a bit OTT, but I like adding the little bits that to me, might not be noticed, but make a difference if they're NOT there.
Getting on the home stretch now..
