PAINTING THE GALLERY ENHANCEMENT Hi everyone while I am waiting for paint to dry on the brass balustrades,I decided to file the mold marks and prepare the De Ag parts that will be used on my gallery enhancement, they are now ready for the first coat of primer. I have placed them in their approx positions on a dummy rear gallery panel I use for such tasks Kind regards Mike MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

ADDING ADDITIONAL TRIM AND FEATURES TO THE GALLERY ENHANCEMENT. Hi everyone when I had the Gallery Enhancement made it was always my intention to produce in model form, as near as possible, an accurate representation of the real Gallery on HMS Victory today, I realised it was not going to be easy and it was going to be time consuming, but I am in no hurry and I want to produce a model as close to the real ship as possible. With that in mind, I set about recreating the rope trim which fits around the Gallery, and decided to use copper wire as a means to do this. I first of all acquired a length of electrical wire, and cut out the copper earth wire, I wanted two strips of 0.8mm thickness the photos show the process:- MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

ADDING ADDITIONAL TRIM AND FEATURES TO THE GALLERY ENHANCEMENT The next job was to recreate the rope effect equally along the length of wire, so I decided to use an old rope making process. First I folded the wire in two, placed a metal bar in the loop, and at the other end held it in a pair of pliers, so the pliers were in my left hand and the bar and loop in my right hand, then I twisted the bar until I was happy with the size of the decoration (trial and error) and eventually I was very happy with the result, here are the photos:- MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

ADDING ADDITIONAL TRIM AND FEATURES TO THE GALLERY ENHANCEMENT So happy with the result and a uniform decoration, I set about bending and forming the copper wire rope around the Dummy rear Gallery panel, from the enhancement kit, again the photos tell the story:- MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.
