Hi Chip Welcome to the mad house A good piece of advice for anybody new to the forum would be to have a good browse around looking at some of the older posts! I never used an on-line forum to any extent before and have been amazed at how much you can learn from the various contributions and there is a huge amount of information out there. Just try clicking on the Search link at the top of the page and try different terms like: cannon; launch; planking etc. You will also discover that members have added lots of links to external sites, some of which are even bigger than this forum. Finally, if you are at home with any family you should wish them all a fond farewell before retiring to the computer room because you won't come out for days!!! Any questions just ask, somebody will come up with an answer! Mike T

Chip...there are a few suggestions on how to build a jig on these forums, all you need is a decent flat piece of board and around a dozen small angle brackets, all can be purchased from your local DIY store or hardware store for next to peanuts mate...just follow the instructions posted on this site by one of our eminent shipmates and bingo...one base to build your Victory on...took me abiout an hour to build my jig...and I'm totally useless at anything like that, so you should find it a doddle!! Hope this helps Chip...Don't worry about wondering what you are letting in for, believe me, its fun, and a great deal of pleasure to be had...
