Starting the great Deagostini model of the Mclaren MP4-23 has sparked an interest in building some more F1 models. This MP4-25 caught my eye as I was fortunate enough to watch Lewis and Jenson race it at the 2010 Abu Dhabi GP.
A 1/24 scale model like this has really tested me with all its tiny parts and decals. I've learnt quite a lot about paints, decal softners, trial assemblies as well as taking time and using plenty of patience.
The modelspace forum has provided some invaluable help as have some of the great builders out there, such as Kev, Spencer ,Chris. many thanks guys.
I'm generally satisfied with this build, although I would do some stuff differently if I were to do it again.
I've included pictures of the bookcase where I intend to house my models as they get finished.
Cheers
Malc.

Hello Malc,

Sorry for the delay in commenting, I've only just noticed that you've finished this build!?

Anyway, what can I say about your build but WOW!! - that is a very nice end result you have achieved and considering that it is in the smaller 1:24 scale, I have to say that you have done an outstanding job of this model and you should be very proud of your work, it looks like a much bigger model than it actually is and very realistic looking too!! Top job my friend and many thanks for the mention, I'm always ready and willing to help those who appreciate it!! CoolThumpUp

All the best mate and time to tackle your 1:12 McLarens now maybe?

many thanks Kev. I am pleased with the end result and it's been a great help seeing how you guys out there tackle your builds.

It's time to do some more on the MP4/23 but the 1/12 M23 is at an advanced planning stage and I should be starting on that before the end of the year.

CheersBigGrin
