 looking at anatomy of victory & yamato books on amazon as thinking of purchasing on both subjects there are 2 books available same picture on cover same authors far as i can see they are the same books can any one thro some light at why 1 is less than £20 and the other is over £40 both are new

hi
might be able to throw some light on the victory one.
this was out of print for some time and some people have been asking silly money for the book. it has now been re issued 2010 revised edition so the price is around the £15.00 mark on whsmith website. i guess people are not aware of the re issued edition and are paying through the nose for it.maybe the other book is still out of print and demand then go's up with the price. hope this helps steve

The cheaper one is Conway Maritime Press published in this country and the dearer one appears to be the same book published by the American Naval Institute.
The content description appears to be the same for both and agrees with my copy which is the Conway edition.
Suggest strongly you grab one of the £15.00 special offers! It's a superb book for the Victory project.

 thank you for replies didn't want to buy cheaper version to find out on the last page that u have to buy the dearer version to find out "who dunnit"
