With my club fingers I needed to find a way to make the wiring of rigging blocks for the cannons a little easier... Made up this simple jig using a .9mm drill set into a scrap piece of wood, 3mm from the drill bit tapped in a simple dress makers pin with the head cut off used to hold the block in place.. First wrap wire around the drill and twist 3 times with long nosed pliers, attach the block onto the pin and position the wire along the grooves and again twist with long nosed pliers. Remove and wrap the remaining wire around another drill bit and snip off the ends.... Very effective and a lot less fiddly..... Something similar may have been done before but can't recall seeing it so hope this helps some fellow builders....Cool Cool

Happy building all...

Regards

Alan

Played around a little with buckets and first thing I decided not to use was the handles that were provided. I also wanted to try and achieve a look of powder in the buckets without the use of graphite from pencil lead.... Blink Blink .. After painting I took small pieces of tissue and packet it into the bucket and set with a little watered down PVA. When dry, painted the tissue matt black and left to dry. Think I got what I wanted...Cool Cool .. For the handle, used .15 rigging line, used beeswax to get rid of the hairy appearance and attached with a little superglue....Cool Cool Pictures don't really do it justice, looks great with the naked eye....

Happy building all..

Regards

Alan
