Hi all, I've just got into modelling fanatic, I've never really had much time on my hands, but I'm a huge mclaren fan, I have acquired mclaren mp4/4 both 1/12 scale (a pre-minichamps model L.A.N.G) I've converted it to Marlboro sponsors also, and I recently bought a 1/18 scale MP4/4, basically I've made a mess on the 1/18 I was doing the marlboro conversion and all was well until I started the rear wing, I wasn't happy with just putting stickers over the existing paint that was on it, so I ended making a bit of a mess with it!! I'm wondering what is the best way to rectify the rear wing? I have been searching for decals but no large orange bits to cover part of the wing, I've pretty much stripped the paintwork from the top, anyway I will let pictures do the talking. my 1/12 I would gladly appreciate some expert advice, I'm planning on building one when I get some money together also! when the DeAgostini version finally comes out of corse

Somehow calling you Wongy doesn't seem right but each to there own First of all welcome to the forum and nice to see another avid F1 fan If you go to my build diary under the 3xMP4/23 in the McLaren members builds you will see that I have completely stripped the car and redone the paints using Zero MP4 Red on the wings etc. I don't know what your like with an airbrush or if you have one but this seems to be your only option if you was to do it yourself. There are other options available if you PM me so we can discuss a solution Regards Spencer

Thank you guys, this is a cool place, Ive checked out some of the builds here, I fear that airbrushing will have to be the way but if that is the best advice then lets do it, I've checked out your builds Worthog, very informative and very cool, also loving that Senna tribute, the car looks amazing with the custom mods! very cool!
