Dear All, I have a quick question. I've been reviewing various build diaries and I notice some people do not use the soft metal strip for the exhaust pipes. This is good as I did not receive them in shipment 13 and do not feel like waiting 4 weeks for a replacement shipment. I thought I could use strip styrene in its place. I remember someone using 2mm rods and then cut them in 1/2. Three questions: is my memory playing tricks on me, if not what would be the item number and finally when it was said 'cut in half' I assume that means cut from the diameter. Thanks for everyone's help. Dan Current Builds: Yamato On the Bench: Akagi, USS Missouri

Hi Dan It was my build that I used strip styrene to replace the ports, I used Evergreens rod and tube assortment item no/ 217 . Simply cut slightly oversize and split in half with a knife then trim to size and glue regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Andy, Thanks for the information. What tool did you use to cut the styrene in half? I can think of a few cutters just looking for advice. Thanks again, Dan Current Builds: Yamato On the Bench: Akagi, USS Missouri
