Jonny

Glad to see your keeping your hand in with the build.

I again seem to have come to a bit of a stop with my sots. Work seems to get in the way the whole time.

Pleased to see your updates and wish you lots of happy modelling.

Tony

Hi Jonny.
I wondered about the need to put some ballast in the lower hull, in case the finished ship was top-heavy.
So, I started a build discussion and Mr T said it was about 5 kgs.

Hi there shipmates...After months of lounging around in the background daily drooling over all the magnificent sots builds that are currently way ahead of me...I finally got around to getting some work done on my own build! With all the frames in place, I began the fairing and checking each frame with a straight edge to see if any were out of line? I did find one frame on the stern that sat slightly shallow to what it should be and built it up using scrap strips of three by one millimetre wood, Another check over with a spare strake then continued fairing checking the ribs all the time, Three and a half days later, I began laying the planking as per Mr T's official build and here are the results.

Hi Jonny, BigGrin

Looks like you made a good start. Cool

One bit of friendly advise, take your time and it will save you lots of time when it comes to sanding for the second planking task.

Keep up the good work.
