While waiting for parts on the launch to dry I thought I'd start the carronade. Well I stuffed up. I must have scored the copper too deeply so that when I bent it,it broke. Unfortunately,unlike the planking, they only just gave enough to do this with a little left over.
All is not lost though. On checking out the actual carronade on the Victory I noticed that this fitting is totally different. My challenge now is to make a wooden version of the real fitting

Just be carful making your own mount for the Carronade that you keep the hight as per the kit parts or it will not run out over the bulwarks correctly.

Well, it didn't work. It was just too small to get it exactly the same. So, I made one like the original out of the off cut strips I had. Looks just as convincing.
