http://www.easybuiltmodels.com/b04.htm Hi Mr T, As you say no explanation needed. Cracking idea, only shame is we have to import it. Still looks to be a seriously good bit of kit though Thanks for the link. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Small magnets are readily available, all you would need is a steel/magnetic board

As Jase says, easily copied.Although the items below were bought for displaying plans without covering them in pinholes etc it could easily be used as a build board, admittedly my magnetic board is BIG there are other sizes available. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380718985929?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-x-Very-Strong-Square-Block-Neodymium-Magnets-5mm-x-5mm-x1mm-Fridge-/290720620581?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item43b04ca025 Rob Nolli Illigitimi Carborundum!!!Current Builds: HMS Victory, SV Thermopylae

Fantastic idea, I think I will have to try this one the aircraft kits I have stashed - do you think the steel boards would not be too suitable for cutting on though?. Steve

It needs to be galvanized steel to prevent rust. It would certainly take the edge off a blade, though the board is not inded to be a cutting board but an assembly surface.

Thats what I thought, with the aircraft builds your not cutting against the plan too much anyway, just cutting off ends to size etc so should be fine. Steve

Great Planes did an even better version, which incorporated magnetic clamps, but I don't think its available anymore..
