I am at the stage now where I need to trim the height of the hull planking but I am slightly confusedCrying

Do I lay the decking on the frames and trim to the height of the decking ?This looks right but gives me a rim of planking around the decking
You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

BigGrin Hi Riff-Raff
What I did here was I deliberately built the planking high along the hull then fitted the ply decks in position and then sanded/trimmed back the excess. I then planked the decks after they were fixed and not as per the instructions it was just my preferred method of doing it.
Hope this helps

Thats the way I was thinking of going. I will have to strip off some of my outer decking but I have only completed 1 section so I have not lost much.

I have noticed that the on line instructions do not show the border plank that Tomick used in his build so at least I can add that as well.

Thanks Andy

It was my build that I used strip styrene to replace the ports, I used Evergreens rod and tube assortment item no/ 217 . Simply cut slightly oversize and split in half with a knife then trim to size and glue
