Well underway with issue 63 and didn't really encounter any problems... the making of the steps was a little fiddly and I didn't really like leaving them in their natural colour so decided to stain them Medium oak.... .. Fitted all the statues in place and marked out where the gun ports are to be drilled.... that will be a job for tomorrow as well as the fitting of the cleats... Cleats have been primed using Admiral metal primer and painted with Antique bronze.. .. Last thing on the agenda will be to tidy everything up..... Happy building all Regards Alan Gandale attached the following image(s):

Hi Alan, Very impressive, I`m going to have fun gilding them lovely ladies, Only question would be, it`s gonna be interesting to see how the people that have angled the bowsprit get around this ornamentation. Could be interesting. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Hi again Alan, Just looked at the official build and correct me if I`m wrong, but the door is made of three panels. I would have cut the centre panel in half to give distinction between the two doors. Maybe a line down the middle would suffice? Interested to here your ideas on that one, before I get to that point. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) Hi Derek and thanks for your kind comments... will try to answer both your posts in the one.... Moving the bow spirit was probably the right thing to do for authenticity but you are correct, what will those do regarding the ornamentation is something each will have to decide, will be interesting to see what they do.... The door is built using 3 strips and I chose to build the door and added the ornamentation off the ship, found this to be the easiest method... Liked your idea of splitting into two but as that was too late for me I have marked a line down the centre to give the same impression.... Hope you like it..... Look forward to seeing your guilded ladies, they should look fab... Thanks again, Regards Alan Gandale attached the following image(s):
