Hi all! I attach several photos of a diorama with cruising two ships that have the same name of “ATAGO”. Scale of these models is 1/700. One is a Imperial Japanese Naval heavy cruiser “愛宕(ATAGO)”. The other is a JMSDF Aegis ship “あたご(ATAGO)”. The Japanese language has three sets of characters - hiragana, katakana, and kanji. Almost JMSDF ships have the same names of IJN war ships. They use hiragana characters for JMSDF ship’s names now. Since the “愛宕” was sunken in 1994, we can never see such situation at this time. This is a diorama of my imaginal situation. Hi Andy! Thank you for your comment. In Japan, 1/700 models of IJN warships become popular more and more recently. A lot of new parts for warship-enhancements are sold. Hi All I attached additional photos of a small models which were included in the Aegis ship "ATAGO" kit. In Japan, this kit is famous from the box picture in which ballistic missile is fired from a certain country. Small models of a missile and a launching pad are included as premium kits. I made a small diorama with these models. The last picture is a real "Galaxy 3" missile.
