forgive me for being nieve but i have 2 simple questions.
1) will the victory have a display stand? if so when are we likely to see it? 2) will it have like a brass name plate?
same questions apply to the endeavour longboat as well if someone could let me know about that too.

Do you think Deagostini will offer the option to purchase a display case towards the end of the build? Have they done this with previous builds? I don't want my victory covered in dead skin and cobwebs! (although it could make it more authentic looking ). Been searching around on t'internet and they seem pretty scarce. The ones i have found are very old or very expensive! Saying that, i may get my dad to make one as he's recently took up the hobby of carpentry and the garage is now one big workshop with machines taller than me! lol.

i can probablybuild a perspex case for the victory with wood trim for under £100.
if anyone likes the sound of that i can look into the cost of materials and get back to ya. can stain the wood different styles too lol.
wouldnt be the first display case i have had to built. can also look into "flat pack assemply" for postage.
thanks for the pic of the stand. im thinking im going to build my own stand. that one looks too.......cheap ya know? plus i rather prefure post stands. can see more of the hull

hi guys if you want any cases built for the victory i can do them at £80 and then what ever the cost of shipping.
doesnt seem a bad price and you'll be pleased to know that 98% (approx give or take a few % lol) is materials.

Cheers MR T, great to have the build stand heading our way in issue 24, and as for most builds of this type, a proper stand will probably be offered to us further on down the line...well, this has been my experience with Del Prado and Hatchette, so I don't foresee Deagostini being any different... Current Builds: Deagostini HMS Victory: Deagostini HMS Sovereign of the seas. Completed Builds: Del Prado: HMAS Bounty: Hachette: RMS Titanic: Del Prado: Cutty Sark...

Thanks a lot Tomick There are some pictures of the completed model on a stand with two cast iron upturned fish that looks pretty good, I'm aiming for displaying it on something like that when done; whether supplied or homemade Cheers

Greetings, Mr.Quist Welcome aboard. i think our working/build stand will be a freebie as well.(fingers crossed). Not really needed for noobs till issue 25ish Tool kit, mag glass and free binder was scheduled in the delivery rota. i.e. first del you get binder then next del we got the mag glass(only 3 issues) next del was tool kit (4 issues came with that). then 4 issues every 4 weeks(tongue in cheek), Holidays messed it up a bit. But thats ok. Do you get option for the copper hull and figurines?? Hows the build instructions in the mag?? i dont know what weapons will be used in ww3 but ww4 will be sticks and stones.

I just followed the link that our german friend gave us. They look further down the line, in terms of initial marketing the product. Getting the feeling we are guinea pigs! Maybe those Germans are more organised. hey talking of germany did any one see that tank now being advertised as a part works (a panzer i think)150 issues @ 5.99, wow, thats got to be a big, good looking tank. Im sticking to boats! i dont know what weapons will be used in ww3 but ww4 will be sticks and stones.
