Hi All well here is the first part of my Black pearl build.
I have decided to start with part issue 12 the changes i have made to the original model are ..not using the paper printed floor...i used 5x2 mm stripwood (only because there was plenty leftover from the victory build).
The second change was the cell fronts i used strips of 1mm card with 4mm spaces between the bars.
On the fore/aft door wall's.. strips of 3x1 mm wood for the door frame top/bottom strips and dado rail (more leftovers), i first saw that done on Bernd's black pearl Cool ..i liked it so much i did something similar.
All the cell walls are covered with strips of wood and coated with a dark oak wood stain.
Then to finish.... all surfaces are painted with a dark oak satin varnish.which looks patchy .after issue 19 all surfaces will be coated with a matt varnish to even it upBigGrin ..

Don't know if this will help you, but I use a bit of free software called 'IMAGE RESIZER FOR WINDOWS'. It's a very compact program that adds the option to resize your pics in a context menu when the chosen picture is right-clicked on.
When that operation is performed, you see another option added to the context menu 'resize pictures'.
Clicking that will open a small dialogue box which gives several options for different sizes (I use the 'small' option).
Click the chosen size and a resized photo pops up beside the original.
That's all it does, pure and simple.
When you want to add images to your post, all you need to do is is tick the 'Attach files to this post' button at the bottom left and a window pops up asking you to 'Browse' for your required images from your pictures folder.
Sounds complicated but it really is very simple and there's no need to use third party software (i.e: Photobucket). It's all done just by right-clicking and using a context menu.
Happy building
David

Hi All ..well there has not been much to post the last few weeks..just all the furnishings ..as you can see there is an extra cupboard made from the leftovers of the frame and the leftover grating from the victory.
