Personally I would paint them once assembledas the easier method. You could paint prior to assembly but you would more than likely need to apply some touch up once assembled.

 Here you go, http://www.wickes.co.uk/...ay-Paint-400ml/p/194167
Not cheap but should cover a fair amount of metal, its also not acrylic based so ventilation may be in order. Or you could use Tamiya's flat red brown TS-1, https://www.wonderlandmo.../tamiya-ts-1-red-brown/

Seems that the bottom is longer than what it is ment to be but it might just be me. I thought that it should off been flush as it has been angled and the wall has been angled for it to fit flush.might be a case of sanding it fown abit building the spitfire,RMS Titanic hachette and now starting the u-96 submarine

After dry fiting the turret walls to the turret ring everything is not lining up have to say the turret desighn is not the best desighn ever. After filing and cutting away at the ring still not a great fit another issue of the turret ring on the way hope i have better luck with this one building the spitfire,RMS Titanic hachette and now starting the u-96 submarine
